How Stocklot Pricing Actually Works in Pakistan
The direct answer: a stocklot price is driven by four things — the specification, the size run, the condition grade and the quantity relative to interest. Fabric weight and quality set the floor; the size run and grade move it; the number of other buyers moves it most of all.

Specification sets the floor
Composition and fabric weight are the strongest single determinant. The same style in a heavier fabric is a different product with a different shelf life, and buyers pay for the fabric, not for the design.
Yarn quality matters as well: combed, carded and ring-spun cotton behave differently and are priced differently. If a seller describes a fabric only as cotton, that is an incomplete specification, and it is worth asking for the detail before you compare prices.
Size run and grade move the price
A balanced size run is worth more than a lopsided one, because you can sell a balanced run and you cannot easily sell forty percent of one size. A lot with a strong first-grade percentage is worth more for the same reason.
These two factors are also the ones you can influence, by negotiating on the grade percentage and by asking whether the seller will separate the seconds from the rejects so you only pay for what you can sell.
Competition for the lot moves it most
A lot that several buyers want will move quickly and will not discount. A lot nobody has wanted will go cheap. Timing is therefore a pricing tool: knowing when a lot becomes available, rather than chasing the newest thing, is where the real money is.
It also means the price you are quoted is partly a function of how the seller values the relationship. A new buyer receives the list price; an established one negotiates. That gap is why the first purchase is usually the least profitable one.

Buyer questions, answered
Why is one lot cheaper than another in the same category?
Almost always the size run or the condition grade. Sellers price by what they can realistically sell, and a lopsided run is harder to move regardless of how good the garment is. Compare lots on the run and grade percentages, not just the headline price.
Can I negotiate the price of a stocklot?
Yes, and the points you can win are predictable: separating seconds from first grade, taking the full quantity rather than a part, paying promptly, and taking a lot nobody else wanted. Harder to move: the price of the same lot at the same grade while another buyer is interested.
Does the currency of the quote matter?
Yes, because the lot may be repriced. Most suppliers quote in their working currency, and some will hold a price in another currency for a limited period. Ask how long a quoted price is valid, and treat an indefinite quote as a starting point rather than a deal.
