How Garment Stocklots Are Exported from Pakistan
Pakistan exports garments at industrial scale, and stocklot shipments ride the same machinery as full retail programmes: container lines sailing weekly from Karachi and Port Qasim, a standard four-document set, and consolidation for mixed loads. Here is what happens after you confirm a lot.
Part of the buyer journey: Pay, Ship and Clear Customs Without Surprises — stage 3 of 8, with the other guides for this stage.
Ports and routings
Karachi and Port Qasim handle the overwhelming majority of Pakistan’s container traffic. Europe-bound containers sail weekly to gateways including Hamburg, Rotterdam, Felixstowe, Le Havre, Genoa and Barcelona — roughly three to four weeks at sea. North America runs four to six weeks to East and West Coast gateways; the Gulf and South Asia are shorter still. Your forwarder or ours — both work.
The document set
The standard set is a commercial invoice (accurate goods description and values), a packing list (carton-level contents and weights), a certificate of origin, and the transport document (bill of lading, or airway bill for samples). Some destinations add requirements — inspection certificates, labelling data, fumigation for certain packaging. We prepare the set your broker specifies.
Consolidation: the quiet advantage
If a single lot does not fill your container economically, compatible lots are combined to fill it. Mixed-container loading is routine work for a sourcing desk and often the difference between mediocre and excellent landed cost — it lets buyers take a great 12,000-piece lot without paying for empty container space.
Your side of the process
A customs broker at destination (or clearance through your forwarder), an import channel matching the goods description, and clarity on your market’s rules for branded or de-labelled goods. We are not your legal adviser on resale rules; we are your source of accurate documents and honest description.

Buyer questions, answered
Which ports ship stocklots from Pakistan?
Karachi and Port Qasim handle nearly all container traffic, with weekly sailings to European, North American, Gulf and Asian gateways.
How long is transit from Pakistan?
Roughly three to four weeks ocean transit to Europe and four to six weeks to North America, plus a few days for packing and export clearance after confirmation.
What export documents come with a stocklot shipment?
Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and bill of lading as standard, plus any destination-specific certificates your broker requires.
Can I mix lots from different categories in one container?
Yes — consolidation of compatible lots is routine and often improves landed cost significantly. Tell us the lots you like and we will plan the load.
FOB Karachi or delivered terms — which should I choose?
FOB Karachi is the cleanest default: you control freight and clearance through your own forwarder. Delivered terms make sense when you want a single price to door and have no forwarder relationship.
